{"id":430,"date":"2026-04-15T09:44:57","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T14:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arcade.fairiesdreamsfantasy.com\/Blog\/?p=430"},"modified":"2026-04-15T09:44:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T14:44:57","slug":"work-in-progress-update-for-poodle-ride-adventure-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arcade.fairiesdreamsfantasy.com\/Blog\/archives\/430","title":{"rendered":"Work In Progress Update For Poodle Ride Adventure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;Work In Progress&#8221; edition of &#8220;Poodle Ride Adventure&#8221; has been updated to address bug fixes, improvements, and other features included in this game.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Highlits Of The Updates Are The Following<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Added additional speeds when riding a poodle with the following speed possibilities:\n<ul>\n<li>Gallop: This is a default setting<\/li>\n<li>Canter: Slower Than Gallop<\/li>\n<li>Trot: Between walk and run<\/li>\n<li>Walk: Typical walking speed<\/li>\n<li>Slow Walk: Slower Walk<\/li>\n<li>Very Slow Walk (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nyabinghi_rhythm\">Nyabinghi Rhythm<\/a>): Very Slow Walk, ideal for fine navigation that requires slow navigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Expanded Manor to add additional places<\/li>\n<li>Fixed inaccurate measurements of high ceilings of a foyer, rugged play field, meditation hall, and placeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Added a unique sound when a poodle is set to &#8220;Walk&#8221; speed, or slower.<\/li>\n<li>Lengthen a ramp inside the foyer of a Rasta-Manor.<\/li>\n<li>Added environmental reverberations for each environment.<\/li>\n<li>Added an experimental inventory system (see possible bugs)<\/li>\n<li>Artistic  feel preserved during each update.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an arbitrary description that caused a screen-reader to describe the lower part of a foyer when riding a poodle via Sky Foyer perimeter walkway.<\/li>\n<li>Added folders to primary characters of this game.<\/li>\n<li>Split logic such as algorithms, audio-descriptions, transitions, inventory, and other parts of a game to reduce hard coding, and ensure code is organized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Possible Bugs That Are Still Present<\/h2>\n<p>The experimental inventory system is still under heavy development. If you were been using this feature when pressing &#8220;J&#8221; (Cedella keyboard layout), or &#8220;\/&#8221; (Arden Denis keyboard layout); a bug when activating an inventory itemm when using other tabs may be occurring. The exit tab (exits inventory) is still under heavy repairs.<\/p>\n<p>For some ramps (especially &#8220;Level 1&#8221;), overlaps may still occur when traversing vertically. This is a known issue that is still being fixed. If its fixed successfully; these ramps are ready for use.<\/p>\n<p>Activating a lever to open a door at Allison&#8217;s Manor via the 3rd floor isn&#8217;t possible, due to a bug that prevents a player from activating a lever to open the door.<\/p>\n<p>When entering the tea room, getting the key at the table at the center is impossible, due to a bug that prevents a player from getting a key from a table by pressing &#8220;O&#8221;, or &#8220;E&#8221;. This bug is a recent bug what we are trying to fix, and resolve.<\/p>\n<p>Overlap of these rooms in Allison&#8217;s Manor still happen.<\/p>\n<p>Using coordinates of a second floor, or third floor, instead of using room-specific coordinates is a recent bug that is still being fixed, and it requires further refinement to ensure this bug is fixed.<\/p>\n<p>Fixed a bug that causes a player to be stuck when jumping via an adventure course, or Soca path.<\/p>\n<p>An overlap of walls may still occur via &#8220;Level 0&#8221; via Rasta-Manor. This bug is still being fixed, and we may take some time.<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s Still Being Worked On<\/h2>\n<p>Expanding Back Porch.<\/p>\n<p>Expanding the garden.<\/p>\n<p>Moving Obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>Adding a course to race through a path with opponents.<\/p>\n<p>Adding additional levels, opponents, enemies, coin-collecting, and an ability to warp to self-contained worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Implementing\/position artwork in parts of this game to increase &#8220;artistry-first&#8221; approach when developing new worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Add sounds for canter, and trot.<\/p>\n<p>Fix an issue that prevents an interstitial ad from arbitrarily being skipped when a next level is coming up.<\/p>\n<h2>A Note About A &#8220;Babylon-Free&#8221; Statement<\/h2>\n<p>Not to be confused with an ancient city of Babylon in Iraq!
