The following maintenance release addresses AI drift, and risks associated with prompts sent by users who have API keys inserted to our games.
This maintenance update applies to Opossum Ride Adventure & Donkey Ride Adventure. This key update ensures these safety issues has been addressed.
Addressing AI Drift
For the past months; making games via Google AI Studio enabled us to make games freely without needing to write a line of code. However; we are addressing sudden drifts of the AI system what we rely on. If a user has provided an API key to our games via “Insert AI” modal, or something similar… and auto-generated content by AI has generated something that is not right… that can jeopardize a user without actually knowing it.
We asked Gemini to address the drift issues, and implement measures to catch it, and ask it to ensure ALL drifts that are found are reported to Google developers. This is key to ensure drifts are logged, ensuring these tools are diagnosed with these issues correctly, and ensure these tools receive proper repairs.
AI drift is a known issue what users must be aware of. However; if we don’t apply these measures to protect users… its not going to be good. Safety should always go first.
Addressing Harmful Content
We implemented an “Anti-Spanking module inside “System/AI/External/Gemini/Safety/” module for Opossum Ride Adventure, and “System/AI/Gemini/Safety/” for Donkey Ride Adventure (WIP) as a way to ensure content that condones cruelty to children, adults, etc won’t pass through. This safety mechanism is non-negotiable because, we implemented this “Babylon-Free” measure as a way to keep potentially-unwanted material out of our client side games. This is key to ensure these games are safe to play, and safe to fulljoy as you play our games.
Starting with Opossum Ride Adventure; “Anti-Porn”, and “Anti-Rape” modules inside “System/AI/External/Gemini/Safety/” are included as a way to keep pornography out, and block material that condones rape culture. Because, rape culture is “Babylon”… we don’t support this practice.
This is key to ensure protection is taken very seriously. However; these measures are not fool-resistant than we thought; flaws can be found when blind spots are left behind.
What Does It Mean For Me Who Provided An API Key Via Gemini When Play Your Games?
Your API key is never stored on our servers; its stored via your browser. However; when an API key is provided, Gemini servers may log use of your API key. However; ALL drifts found are logged and sent to Gemini servers for Google developers to take a look at.
You can still play our games. However; the AI-Generated arenas or levels may be different than you thought.
If you are using an API key that is controlled by a manager, or you were using a managed device that automatically inserts an API key into a modal of this game, check with your system administrator. However; this client side game is always available to play for free via our website.
